V1.0 (Post Jam Version)
Took a while to get a post jam update out for this one. The reason can be split into two things. First, I had a lot of other IRL things that required my attention after the jam, leaving me with less time to work on a post jam update. Second, there were more bugs in the submission than I'd like and wanted to fix them, yes all of them.
Quite a few bugs where due to tooltips not working like they were supposed to. During the jam I used the built-in Godot tooltips, but no matter how hard I tried I couldn't get the bugs fixed. Because of this I decided to completely rework the tooltip system in the game from scratch. Honestly, this took way more time that it should have. Aside from bug fixes a few more things have been added to the game.
Changelog:
- Fixed bug where item was immediately selected when map node is under the item box
- Fixed a bunch of tooltip bugs by completely reworking the tooltip system
- Fixed bug where dice get locked in an area even when they weren't dropped there
- Fixed typo in intro (Trails should have been Trials)
- Fixed bug where dice choice box didn't fit all dice options
- Increased odds of Treasure Graves
- Increased size of icons on map
- Added tooltips to map nodes
- Added Spy Glass item which shows what enemies will be in a battle in the node's tooltip
- Added the ability to skip the intro
- Made the main menu music loop
- Added shortcuts to the battle system
- R to reroll your dice
- E to end your turn
- T to reset your turn (if you've got the Eraser item)
- Made it more clear when no enemy was selected when you try to end your turn
